CA’ MONTINI PINOT GRIGIO TERRE DI VALFREDDA SHOWCASES THE WINEMAKING HISTORY AND EXCEPTIONAL POTENTIAL OF TRENTINO.

Ca’ Montini is a welcome surprise from the innocuous, uninteresting Pinot Grigio so often found in the mainstream market. The wine is proof positive that with discerning site selection, meticulous vineyard management and world-class winemaking, Trentino can produce world-class wines.

The Terre di Valfredda vineyard which is protected by the surrounding mountains was selected for its perfect east/west exposure and “Pergola Trentina” trellising system to ensure ideal ripening conditions. The vineyard is meticulously managed from bud selection to fruit thinning to hand harvesting to produce grapes that exhibit the best characteristics of Valfredda, the Cold Valley. The vinification process was developed under direct supervision of legendary winemaker Riccardo Cotarella and his technical team. Named Wine Enthusiast Winemaker of the Year and Gambero Rosso Best Italian Winemaker, Cotarella is one of Italy’s most celebrated winemakers and has been proclaimed “one of the best in Italian winemaking” by Wine Spectator and “one of the most influential wine personalities in the world” by Robert Parker.
